Tour De 4Force
LEGENDS UNITE! Ocean waves of musical ambiance surround some of the most talented Artists in the industry today on "QUIET MOON," the new CD from Tour De 4Force.
It is not so rare a thing for talented recording artists to come together to combine their own signature songbird and instrumental ingredients to blend a perfect musical mix that will deliver a hit collection of songs..
It is, however, extremely rare for artists of this caliber to step aside to allow another talented artist or two to come in to shake up the end product by injecting new flavors guaranteed to create new sound sensations that delight a myriad of musical palettes.
This is exactly the sound of Tour De 4Force, the new group from
Ocean Wave Music Group.
The innovative concept behind this artistic stroke of genius makes Tour De 4Force a rare exception to the rule - bringing together a well-matched conglomeration of well-known and highly successful artists. As a result, they have managed to create what many have referred to as the perfect recipe for success.
The first line-up of Tour De 4Force includes the superb talents of SCHERRIE PAYNE (the Official final lead singer of THE SUPREMES), JOYCE & PAM VINCENT (two-thirds of "DAWN" from the American Pop-Icon group "TONY ORLANDO & DAWN"), THERESA DAVIS (a former member of THE EMOTIONS) and JIM GILSTRAP (one of the most prolific male session singers in the entertainment industry. Plans for future incarnations of Tour De 4Force are already in the works, with hopes to include a noted R&B songstress and a bonafide Funk Diva.
On “Tour De 4Force 1: “Quiet Moon” – the debut CD from this group, sincere vocals compliments their instrumentation perfectly. Overall, the music tracks encompass the essence of Smooth Jazz in an electric form. Their unique blend of well rounded harmonies elevates them to another level, truly making them original and the magnificent group they are today - carefully formulated into the future sound of the most enjoyable music for all to listen to. The main recipe for their collaborative prowess is not limited but broadened by their own individual stellar backgrounds and musical influences, and their ability to cross all genres of music from Smooth Jazz to R&B to Funk to Rock & Roll and Pop. Their perfect recipe is a blend of classic and cutting edge ingredients that represent a solid musical foundation, peppered by their ability to turn the expected into the unexpected.
“Tour De 4Force 1: “Quiet Moon” offers not only some of the industry’s most talented singers, but musicians, arrangers and producers as well. Listeners are treated to 13 tracks, written mostly by Lorrin “Smokey” Bates, who has co-written songs for numerous well-known performers. In fact, several of the songs on “Tour De 4Force 1: “Quiet Moon” were originally recorded by some of biggest artists in the business, including “This Time Tomorrow” and “Early Morning” (by Nancy Wilson), “Just To Keep You In My Life” (by The Temptations) and “Heaven Bound” (originally recorded by Chaka Khan & Rufus and produced by Quincy Jones for the acclaimed “Masterjam” LP).
Jim Gilstrap, one of the members of Tour De 4Force and also a gifted songwriter himself, contributed his own “Four Walls” to the CD. Ali Ollie Woodson – considered to be the best former lead-singer The Temptations ever had – shows his inimitable style and powerful vocal range – stepping in to lead “Four Walls” (in a duet with Scherrie Payne), and, undaunted by Khan’s signature vocal styling on the song, makes “Heaven Bound” his own. Windy Barnes Farrell presents a brilliant performance on “She Dances With The Wind” which she also wrote.
Other noted musicians contributing to the smooth sound of “Tour De 4Force 1: “Quiet Moon” include saxophonists Aaron Fletcher and Derrick Edmondson, acoustic guitarist Maitland Ward and rhythm guitarist Ray “The Weeper” Fuller (George Duke), percussionist Munyungo Jackson (Stevie Wonder), bass player Larry Ball (Smokey Robinson), and drummer Mike White (former member of “Maze”).
All of the music for “Tour De 4Force 1: “Quiet Moon” was created, Arranged and Co-Produced by TC Campbell (former member of 80’s Funk group, “Cameo”) and Marcia Parks, who is also the CD’s Executive Producer and founder of Ocean Wave Music Group.
Tour De 4Force will never disappoint as the mellow silky smoothness they are noted for through their unique blend of sexy and secret ingredients unfolds. You want to be there when the final dish is served, topped off with the tasteful and colorful garnishes only this band can deliver.
Tour De 4Force is nothing less than PURE, UNADULTERATED TALENT!
